When I think of bread the first thing that comes to my mind is an image of the French revolution in which people are crying desperately for bread. Second one was an image of Russian evolution, when the Russians are in desperate need for bread to satisfy their hunger. The third image is that of the first world war, when people crying out for bread when there was food scarcity due to economic depression. I feel that we are facing a somewhat similar situation now due to the pandemic COVID-19. We wanted bread and it was not available anywhere. Though bread is not a staple food in our diet, we Indians have also acquired a habit of storing at least one loaf of bread. In our homes for the satiation of our quick pangs of hunger. But now bread is not available.
We thought and thought… We have an OTG and all the needy ingredients needed to make bread. Why don’t we make a bread ourselves? Taking the risk we made one, and wow that came out well. Now we are making bread to satisfy the needs of our locality. Now we make fluffy, super-soft bread with a crunchy crust.
Now I understand the importance of being a bread maker.
