MERE PYAARE DESH VAASIYOO… WHAT NEXT?

A few weeks ago, i was preparing for my monthlies like crazy. I am studying in twelfth, so you can understand my situation.Pressure from my parents, teachers, neighbours and even from my little sister. I know it sounds odd, but its the truth.so,to keep up with their expectations i started to study day and night without leaving my room, except to eat which is a must. That’s when my mother called out my name. When i went down i was surprised to see that every person inside the house was sitting in front of the TV. Then my mother asked me to check whose addressing the nation.when i saw him ,i remembered the person who comes in a radio telecast called monkey bath ( man ki baath), well that’s what everyone say’s. He was saying something about the spread of a virus and that all the school are closing for a few weeks. I thought to myself ” all of this and this is what i get back, seriously”.

I was having some mixed emotions, exhaust, happiness, relief and concern. everything spilled out together. That’s when i felt,” Why should i be angry ,why should i be concerned ,there is nothing much to think about. Holidays are ahead”.

But…… these are not my lazy days. The next day, i woke up with satisfaction as it has been days since i slept like this. I sat in my coffee table and started to speak to myself. I knew that these were not my real holidays, so i had to work like my class hours. So from that day i decided to work hard so that i can achieve my goal. I made a time table for myself, like waking up early in the morning, and i was determined. but from the next day, everything became upside down. I woke up at 9:30 brushed my teeth at 10:00 and ate my breakfast at 11:00 and sat in my couch like a stone waiting to be thrown.

A week went by. Nothing much happened, just the same routine. waking up,brushing, eating my breakfast and sitting in my couch. that Sunday evening , i heard that person’s voice again. he said” mere pyaare desh vaasiyoo” and i knew what was coming!
